How to Unroot Samsung Galaxy S3

Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300 was released hardly a month ago and developers have already managed to acquire a root. Samsung Galaxy S3 has a powerful Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9, a 8MP camera capable of only 720p recording, 4.8 inch super AMOLED screen at 720 x 1280 resolution, 1GB of RAM and comes with Android Icecream Sandwich out of the box. In other words, the Samsung Galaxy S3 is one of the most powerful Android phone you can get in the market.

We recently posted how to root samsung galaxy s3. Here is the how to unroot it. Make sure you make a back up before doing this or else you will lose all your important data.

How to Unroot Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300

1. Install Samsung Kies if not already installed.

2. Go to Download mode by turning off the phone and then pressing Volume down+ Home button and then the power button.

3.See if "Custom Binary Download" is "NO", if "YES" then proceed to step 5 if it says 1 count or something like that then go to next step.

4. Go to this link and reset the binary counters. After resetting go back to download mode again. [Video at bottom]

5. You need the latest Galaxy S3 firmwares to flash it. Download it from here.

6. Extract the zip file to a safe location.

7. Download Odin 1.85 from here and run it.

8. Now connect your Galaxy S3 to your PC via USB cable. Odin should detect your phone and give a green light and you will see "Added" at the status box.

9. Click PDA and select .tar.md5 from the zip you extracted before.

10. Auto Reboot and F Reset Time are selected as default, dont change anything or you will end up bricking your phone.

11. Click Start and wait for Odin to display "PASS!" in green. Meanwhile don't do anything even if Odin is not responding.

12. Go to recovery mode by switching off the phone and then Volume Up+ Home and power button.

13. Use volume buttons to navigate and power button to select. Do a factory wipe, wipe cache and then do a reboot.

14. Check for the Super User App and if it's missing you have successfully unrooted your Galaxy S3.

Root Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus GT S7500 Easily

The Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus is somewhat the tech enthusiasts ideal budget phone as it does have good specs such as 1 GHz processor, 5 Mega Pixel Camera, Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It does come at a much higher price than usual budget phones but it also does have much better specifications. Anyway if you haven't rooted your Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus GT S7500 then here is how you can do it. Do not worry about voiding your Warranty as this post also covers how you can Unroot the Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus too.

Root/Unroot Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus GT S7500

First thing you need to do is download the root update or unroot update(in case you want to revert to stock firmware to get back warranty).
Once you download that you will need to copy it onto your device SD Card. After that switch off your device.
Now you need to boot into Recovery Mode. IF you do know then read the next step but in case you don't you can enter into recovery mode by pressing and holding the Power and Home Buttons Together. You can navigate using The Volume Up and Down Keys and select using the Home Button
Navigate to Apply Update from SD Card and select the root or unroot zip that you copied. Wait for the process to finish and then reboot.

Its is the official update but it is a leaked version. Although updating the OS is a simple process is does come with its share of risks so you will need to follow the tutorial precisely in order to not encounter any errors. Anyway without wasting time lets get to the tutorial.

How to Update and Root HTC Rezound to Android ICS 4.0.1

First thing that you need to do is download the required update files. You can do that from here. If you do not want to root your HTC Rezound then download this file instead.Now copy this downloaded file to your HTC Rezound. You will need it to update in Recovery Mode.
To enter into recovery mode, press the power button while holding the Volume Up and OK button. In Boot loader mode select Recovery.
After that just navigate to Install Zip from Memory Card and Choose Zip from Memory Card. Wait for the update to finish and reboot.

The Samsung Galaxy Y Duos S6102 is again a cheaper budget phone, but this time with dual Sim support. That's why it is pricier than the Samsung Galaxy Y S5360. It comes with a 3.1 Inch 240px X 320px screen. It has an 823 MHz Processor and has Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread built in. Anyway let us proceed to the rooting of the Samsung Galaxy Y Duo S6102. Just to let you know rooting does come with its fair share of dangers and Unlimited Tips will not be responsible for any damages sustained to your phone.

How To Root Samsung Galaxy Y Duos S6102

First you need to make sure your Windows .NET Framework is up to date. If it is not or if you don't want to take the risk head on down here and update it.
Next download Super One Click tool from here.
Before plugging in your phone or anything Go to Settings then Applications then Development and Enable USB Debugging.
Now connect your phone to the PC and make sure you don't mount your SD Card while connecting.
Now just extract and Run Super One Click. Click on Root button. After the process finishes you can click on Allow Non Market Apps. Now just reboot your phone.

Alternative Method

If you want to try a faster method but in which you have to apply update in recovery mode then follow this.

Download this file and copy it to your device SD Card without extracting it.
After that just boot your phone in recovery mode. To do this, hold the power, volume up and the home button simultaneously. Now just navigate with Volume Up and Down Keys and then select the .zip file you copied to SD Card and Apply the Update.
Now just reboot your device. Super User will be installed.

Unlock And Root Sony Xperia S

The Sony Xperia S was only recently released and already its rooting is possible thanks to very efficient developers. The Sony Xperia S comes with a 4.3 Inch Screen with a resolution of 1280px X 720px. It has built in Android 2.3 Gingerbread and the ICS Update can be expected to be out soon. It has a great 12 MP Camera which provides excellent quality pictures. Its dual core 1.5 GHz processor is also very impressive. Anyway to unlock and root Sony Xperia S just follow the tutorial below.

Unlock Sony Xperia S:

Unlocking the Sony Xperia S is the lengthy process compared to rooting the phone. Anyway to begin first find out your IMEI No. If you do not know already then just dial *#06#. After you note this down you need to check if your phone can be unlocked. For this dial #*#7378423#*# and then go to Service Info, Configuration and then Rooting Status. If its says Yes then you can continue with the tutorial.

Now that you have Command Prompt Open plug in yur phone in FastBoot mode just as in step 2 then in Command Prompt type fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce getvar version . After wait and see if 0.5 is returned. If it is it means that your phone is properly connected after that type in fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY replaceing KEY with the nique Key you got for Unlocking. After that your phone is Unlocked.

Rooting Sony Xperia S:

Now to root your just download this file. After that just Open Command Prompt in Windows after plugging in your phone in FastBoot Mode and type in fastboot flash system system_xps_prerooted_63fw.img . Now just unplug your phone and Reboot.

The Galaxy Nexus is Google's First Android Ice Cream Sandwich. It comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The newer version of Android offers a pretty sweet design and is a lot more appealing than older versions. The Galaxy Nexus has a high resolution 1280px X 720 px screen, 1.2 GHz dual core processor and the standards such as 3G, Wi-Fi etc. The camera although only 5 MP does deliver good output. Rooting the Galaxy Nexus is pretty much straight forward and only requires 3 steps.

How To Root Galaxy Nexus

First thing you need to do is download and install the software necessary to root your Galaxy Nexus. Download the setup file from here. After that install the software. Do not plug in your Galaxy Nexus yet. Now run the software and click on Drivers. Wait for the installing of Drivers to finish. Follow on screen instructions in order to complete the installation. That's it that the end of step one.
Now just make sure you have backed up your data. if you already haven't then click on Back Up Apps + Data. After that just click on Unlock, to unlock your phone.

It has 1 GB of RAM along with a 1.4 GHz dual core ARM processor. It has the 8 MP camera and also the usual stuff such as Wi-Fi , Bluetooth 3.0 and 3G. It comes with built in Gingerbread. In this tutorial we will be discussing how to root the Samsung Galaxy Note SGH-i717 on Android 2.3.6.

How To Root Samsung Galaxy Note SGH-i717 on Android 2.3.6

First thing is to make sure you have backed up your data. Also know that rooting does cause you to lose your warranty.
Now you need to download all he files necessary to Root Your Samsung Galaxy Note i717. First download PDA.tar from here. Next download ODIN 1.85 from here. Extract the ODIN download's contents and run the file. First shut down your Galaxy Note by holding the power button.
Now connect it to your PC and then press and hold the Volume down and Power button. Press the Volume down button when asked.
ODIN will now detect your Galaxy Note connected to your PC. On ODIN click on PDA and select PDA.tar. Then just click start and wait for the rooting to complete. Do not be alarmed if your Galaxy Note reboots many times during the rooting process.
When it is completed to check whether rooting was done properly go to the Android Market and Install SuperUser.

How to Root HTC Explorer easily

The HTC Explorer is low to mid range phone made to be small, sleek and perform. It has the usual specifications such as Android OS 2.3(Ginger Bread). It is kind of disappointing that it only has a 600 MHz processor considering that cheaper phones such as the Samsung Galaxy Y has a 823 MHz processor for about 60% of the price. Then again the HTC Explorer does have a 3.2 Mega Pixel camera and a better screen in terms of both size (3.2 inches) and resolution (320 x 480 px). It has a capacitive touch screen and a resilient battery while on 2G and 3G networks. It is very simple to Root HTC explorer and can be done within a few steps.

How to Root HTC Explorer

The first thing you need to do is download this file. In order to prevent any disturbance to the rooting process go to Settings > Applications > Development and then Enable USB Debugging. Once you do that you need to plug in your HTC Explorer. Then just extract the downloaded file and run Recovery.bat .
Next you need to just download this file and copy it as it is (as a .zip file) and copy it to your phone.
Now unplug your phone and reboot it. Now you need to enter into recovery mode. For that press and hold volume up and the OK Button and then press the Power Button.
Now that you have entered Recovery mode, use the volume up and down keys to navigate and select install zip from sd card > select zip from sd card > superuser zip file (the one that you pasted)
Now just wait a few minutes for the rooting to finish and after that select Go Back and Then Reboot.

Samsung Galaxy Y is a low end Android phone from Samsung for the "Young" Generation. It comes with pre loaded Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread OS. It has an 823 MHz processor to surf the internet and run android OS smoothly. I has 3.0 inch TFT capacitive touch screen display but the screen clarity is a little disappointing. But none of the phones in the market supports a Capacitive touch screen for a cheap price like that of Galaxy Y. It has 3G and Wi-Fi along with Bluetooth 3.0. It is the best phone available under 7000 rupees and comes with a 2 MP camera. Rooting Galaxy Y is very easy and can be done within 2-3 steps.

How to Root Samsung Galaxy Y S5360

1. Download Update.zip from here.

2. No need to extract. Copy the zip file to the root of the SD Card and do not paste it to any folders in the SD Card.

3. Now switch off your phone

4. After the phone is switched off, enter into recovery mode. To do this, hold the power, volume up and the home button simultaneously.

5. Now can navigate through recovery mode only with the volume up and down buttons. Select Update.zip and the root will be applied on your Galaxy Y.
