Aakash Tab 1 was mainly aimed at youth and students and will be available for discount for students in India. The commercial version of Aakash Tab is also known as Ubislate. What's new in Aakash Tab 2?


Aakash Tab 1 runs on Android 2.2 Froyo which is an outdated version of Android nowadays. Aakash Tab 2 runs on Android 2.3 which is a  newer version. Aakash Tab 2 is powered by a Cortex A8 700 MHz Processor which is much superior to the 366 MHz processor in Aakash Tab 1. One of the most important feature that Aakash Tab lacked was GPRS which is now available in the new model! Aakash tab 2 has a much powerful battery and gives more battery backup compared to Aakash Tab 1.
