The Windows 8 Consumer Preview has been recently released and it has a lot to offer. It is not much like the Developers Preview Version. It's also not as buggy. It comes stocked with a lot more Apps and much better performance. It offers a dual experience as its interface is both new in terms of its Metro Start Menu and Apps but also the same powerful Windows Environment such as in previous versions of Windows. Anyway the Windows 8 Consumer Preview Version is available to download as an ISO image and is available in 64 and 32 bit versions. Just as in the Developer Preview version, the 32 Bit ISO Image of Windows 8 is quite larger than the 64 Bit one.
Anyway before you download ensure that you have the necessary specifications for running Windows 8 as given below :
- 1 GHz Processor.
- 1 GB RAM for 32 Bit and 2 GB RAM for 64 Bit.
- 16 GB Hard Disk Space for 32 Bit and 20 GB for 64 Bit.
- Graphics Card with Direct X 9 or better support.
- Resolution of 1024px X 768px for using Microsoft Store and 1366px X 768 for using snap apps.
